It applies to people who are 40 years old or older. However, when the patient is younger, the outcome is more natural, and it lasts for a longer period.
The surgery can be performed either under sedation and local anaesthetic or under general anaesthesia (it varies depending on the circumstances).
The procedure typically takes between three and four hours .
Patients are usually discharged the next day with regular follow ups in our clinic. Stitches are removed in about ten days time. Patients can usually return to work in a couple of weeks and could start exercising in one month.
